HOW DO I GET STARTED OR REGISTER FOR CLASS?

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL PERIOD?

We offer a one class trial period to see if our dojo is the right fit for you!

Just remember to come 15 minutes early to introduce yourself to a Sensei, and wear comfy clothing for class

WHY SHOULD I JOIN KARATE?

Karate training helps increase physical fitness, confidence, improved motor skills, flexibility, speed, concentration, discipline and personal safety

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE TO JOIN?

At this time our minimum age to join our club is 5 years of age

WHAT IS THE UNIFORM THAT EVERYONE IS WEARING?

Gis are the white uniform you wear to train as part of traditional Karate 

New students are not required to wear a Gi at first, but will need to wear a Gi before their first ranking exam.

Ask Sensei how to purchase a Gi

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A BLACK BELT?

On average it takes 4 -5 years to reach Shodan (lowest level of black belt), however many factors such as age, dedication and attitude can influence this rough timeline

WHATS BEING RECITED AT THE END OF EVERY CLASS?

The Dojo Kun is taken from Funakoshi's Twenty Guiding Principles and is often recited in unison at the end of the class to remind students to be the best they can be both in and out of training.
